When the early panic of COVID-19 receded and we were all left with nothing but time, David Gittelman started a blog. The Write Way Out became an inexpensive alternative to therapy. More important, it offered a real-time, firsthand look at one of the strangest, most stressful periods in world history, all seen through the subjective lens of a middle-aged white guy with a meaningful career and a basement bunker.
